Access to water in the Indian Ocean is a critical issue, as the region is home to many island and coastal countries that face challenges related to the availability of potable water and infrastructure for access to water.

Global Peace Foundation Malaysia and ConocoPhillips have decided to partner to ensure that the villagers receive a constant water supply through a fixed dam and water storage tanks. This would save many hours of work for the villagers and help them in their livelihood activities so that they can earn a stable income.

WAT’s vision is to eliminate the need for women and girls in Tanzania to walk long distances for water. We want to end the cycle of diseases caused by dirty water and poor hygiene. Tanzania shared a statement with 16 media outlets for our calls to action on World Water Day.
