After his notable participation in the Le Havre Sailing Festival from July 4 to 7, 2025 — where he was honored with the “Best Crew of the Parade” award — the Royal Navy of Oman ship Shabab Oman II docked in Dunkirk on July 10, 2025.
This stopover marks the second stage of the Tall Ships Race 2025, as part of the ship's seventh international tour, called "Glories of the Seas," which includes 30 stops in 24 ports in 15 countries over a six-month period.
In Le Havre, the crew participated in various cultural and sporting events, while welcoming visitors on board to share the maritime traditions of the Sultanate of Oman and promote intercultural dialogue. Shabab Oman II will continue its route to Aberdeen (Scotland), Kristiansand (Norway) and Esbjerg (Denmark), and will also participate in maritime festivals in Bremerhaven (Germany) and Amsterdam (Netherlands).
